I had heard about Leadville, Colorado, all my life. My great-grandparents settled there, and my grandfather was born there. When we have visited, it's been in November, so it has always been bitter cold and snowy. That's the impression I wanted to capture in my art. A gritty, cold place that has a small town, old west charm all its own. I may add more to the story, but for now, these pictures tell of my deep nostalgia for Leadville.
